Home at 4.10, on my mat at 4.20 with a cup of tea to help me along, after reading a postcard from S. who is in India touring and yogaing, wish I was there.
Despite being a Moon day I just cannot bear to waste practice time, its such a job fitting in practice in the great scheme of life, so in deference to the new moon I practised slowly, softly, not going to the edge, but having a comfortable practice, where the heat still built up, not as much as in a shala with lots of other heat making yogi’s but enough, kept going doing all the asanas and vinyasas up to Upavistha Konasana. I wonder if this softer, less challenging, asana chasing practice was what lead to my knees allowing me Janusirsasana A & B as well as Marichyasana A to C?
Closing had a little satisfaction of their own, UD was ok and Sirsasana was steady, I must try the half way and up again variation again, but not today, I had decided not to push it and just be within my zone and it was a good idea. Practice is never as good at home, but today it didnt have the feeling of going through the motions which it sometimes can, I just hope I actually get a nights sleep on a Friday for a change. I am still dithering as to going into the city tomorrow for practice, I know it will not regret going if I can get off my arse.
I saw what I will probably buy me for Xmas today, no not an Iphone, but a new Nokia. Can I justify it, it has a bigger screen than my little Palm and GPS to boot, but is it worth the thick end of £300?
