Escape at 3

Well the promised snow arrived overnight, everything was white this morning. On the way to work I took the picture  of the ice breaking Swans, the Ducks waited for a path to be cleared on the frozen water. The usual ones bothered to turn up for work as the usual (lazy) suspects didn’t make an effort. We complain loudly every time this happens, they get a free day off and we get lumbered with their work. We complained anytime Management showed their heads and at 3pm they decided they had better give in and sent us home as more snow poured down.

After slipping and sliding home, avoiding snowballs, sweeping my front steps and making a cup of tea I took this unexpected opportunity to do a Monday practice. Full Primary plus some extra backbends while I was still being paid. I never thought I would see the day when Nepotism UK Ltd would pay for my practice!

What a great picture! I love how they stay in an almost straight line. That duck doesn’t though, he’s a rebel, coloring outside the lines and whatnot.

The snow in London is all over the news here. It’s pretty funny, “SNOW in London, film at 10”.

There were some deviant swans as well, I sent you a picture!

Wow it must be bad if the London snow made it onto the TV in Texas

  3. AC Says:

    Very nice picture.

Hmm, a few inches of snow and London comes to a standstill. Is the world laughing at us?

You gotta live for those small miracles in life! Is Nepotism UK Ltd allowing you to escape early today?

  4. globie Says:

You’re having a laugh, 2 days running at 3pm no chance, more chance of me doing an unasisted drop back on Sunday morning!

Think the world is laughing at London, though agree with Boris, that a once in 18 year event is not worth investing millions on, especially when he can waste it on the poxy Olympics that nobody wants!

  5. AC Says:

I hope a few more people bothered turning up for work OR maybe not.

Unfortunately our transport system comes to a halt with or without snow. There must be a compilation of excuses used throughout the year.

Come now, the London Olympics will be great when it comes round.

  6. globie Says:

Yes most of yesterdays stay aways turned up, to much comment.

Hope transport is sorted by the weekend, am in London both days and hope to get there early enough to practice both mornings.

If we had been allowed a vote, Paris council tax payers would now be lumbered with this ever spiralling cost. I would rather they spend the money on health, skools, old people and a transport infrastrcuture that actually works in the summer, never mind when a bit of white stuff falls!

  7. AC Says:

I guess we will be lumbered with paying off the Olympics and Banks for the next few decades via our taxes. Ironic how we have funds to wage war or is it to defend oil wells…………..

Bloody hell man, you’re asking a lot – transport to actaully work, NOW that would be a real miracle in the making. When that happens I’ll happily and gleefully kowtow to any gods/gov. officials/royalty.

  8. globie Says:

Exactly they had no problem finding money to bomb the crap out of Iraq in our name.

I know its a lot to ask, transport that actually turns up on time, but other countries seem to be able to do it.

  9. Alfia Says:

What a great picture! Geometric lines, concentration on work, perfect!

I really do not like snow and sleet. Thinking about moving South, to warmer pastures. London might not work for me, though we were looking at job opportunities there.

  10. globie Says:

    Yes those Swans have drishte!

This is a once in 20 year event, but its chaos.
