2012 was “The year of standing up from the dropback I finally managed to do it a couple of times in Mysore“.
live north of London, UK
Crave a better work- Life (Yoga) balance, it’s getting there, work part time and practice every day.
Love my Ashtanga practice,it has kept me going and at times has been the reason I have opened my eyes and carried on
Love to travel, especially to do yoga in nice places like Singapore, Bali, Thailand,India, Spain, Sweden, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey and Estonia so far, but Mysore was the dream Ashtanga yoga destination.
Like to listen to Kate Bush, Florence and The Machine, Madonna, Enigma, Alanis Morissette, Dolores O’Riordan, Bjork, Genesis and the odd bit of Pink Floyd.
Like giving travel lectures and writing for travel magazines on the side.
I’ve finally gotten to your blog. We are leaving in 10 days and I think I will soon be needing much moral support from UK Ashtangis. BTW, I love Enigma too and I got interested in Ashtanga after hearing that Madonna started doing it and it replaced biking and running (10 years ago).
Have loved reading through your blog. I have been practicing yoga for a couple of years now and I am off to KPJAYI institute in Mysore in November. I have never practiced ashtanga before, I understand the classes are not led so is it importnant for me to try and learn the primary series before I go??
